Throwback Thursday: Oslo’s Mini bottle gallery

It’s not REALLY a throwback, because it’s only two years old…. BUT….

Two years ago right about now we were in Oslo for a long weekend. We had a fabulous time, and one of the most interesting places we visited was the Mini Bottle Gallery.  Yes, you read that right … an entire museum/gallery about miniature bottles. The kind you get in the airplane or hotel minibar. The gallery was started by this old guy who collected all the bottles, and when he died they made his collection into a museum.

Some of the mini bottles are humorous jokes on existing products – these were homemade, bathtub gin type products…

This place had the pinkest bathroom in the history of pink bathrooms. It was eye wateringly cool.

And yes, there was Absolut bottle that you could stand inside, so it looks like you are miniature, like the bottle. I'm not sure it was that successful...

This was cool though - it had different smells to sample.

And I had to break the law to sneak in and snap this pic - it's the men's urinal. Terrifying.

Love the urinal; it’s the best!

  2. The mirrors on the urinal are terrifying, too! I’m not sure why someone thought someone would want to see that view.
