Tonight: we’re Promming!

Tonight we have tickets to the Proms … which is NOT a high school dance, but a classical music festival. It lasts most of the summer, and they have so many amazing concerts it’s hard to choose which ones to attend!  My mom and I went to see Stravinsky’s Firebird, and last week Alex and I went to see Steve Reich perform Clapping Music (which was amazing!).  And tonight we are off to hear Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man, Barber’s Adagio for strings,  and Bartók’s Piano Concerto No. 2. I’m really looking forward to it!
