For Dinner: A Commemorative Pie
I’m sure you’ve all heard that there’s going to be a little wedding over here in London next month. It’s kind of a BFD, and there have been tons of commemorative merchandise: tea towels, plates, loving cups, etc. (And YAY! My friend Sarah is coming to visit that weekend and we’re totally going to camp out to see the bride!)
Tonight when I was at the store, I found what must be the oddest specimen of the royal wedding mania: the commemorative pie. The people at Pieminster (who make really amazing pies) have gotten into the spirit of things with this special edition pie. It’s a “British beef, wine, bacon, pearl onions, and a dash of brandy in a lovely pastry”.
We’ll have to see about that! I’m sure Wills & Kate greatly appreciate this pie, but I rather doubt they’ll ever taste it. Although if they came to dinner, I would be tempted to serve it!
