Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park and McWay Falls

Although the drive along the coast of California was beautiful, we also got out of the car to do a bit of walking. One of the places we stopped was the Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park, where we hiked (not very far) down to see the McWay Falls, a gorgeous waterfall that cascades into an almost perfect cove. The sun was really blinding, so when I took these pictures I couldn’t even see the screen to know if they came out okay. But I think they did!  We had to walk beneath the roadway, via a tunnel, to reach the coastal walkway. There was a lovely little bench along the path, and I think this would be the perfect place to watch the sunset.  There are camping grounds above the falls, so maybe next time we go we’ll take a sleeping bag and camp out under the stars.
