Wine by the Glass

Have you ever been on-the-go, running from home to work to the gym to the store, and deeply craving a nice cold glass of Chardonnay?  Well, guess what?  Now you don’t have to wait for that annoying bottle. It’s wine by the glass!

We saw these at the Marks & Spencers inside St. Pancras the other day. It’s an individual glass of wine, served in a plastic wine glass. There is a covering at the top, similar to what you’d find on a yoghurt pot. This is a fantastic idea!  You can take wine with you into all those outdoor concert venues that ban glass! You can take it with you on the train! You can take it on a picnic, and not have to worry about breaking your stems!  They had both red and white, but I can’t vouch for taste. We saw them at 7:30 in the morning, which was a bit early for a tipple, even for me. 🙂
