Considerate Cycling Please
One of the things I’ve enjoyed most about the Brits is their sense of politeness (except on the Tube — there they are animals!). So many of the signs around town say things like “Polite notice: bicycles chained to this fence will be removed”. How cute! There is even a sign for thieves, warning them that plainclothes police operate in the area.
Luckily I had the camera with me the other day when we stumbled across this little gem, asking for considerate cycling. It doesn’t outright ban cycling, nor does it exactly encourage it, but it simple asks that if you cycle, you do so considerately. Indeed. I think such a sign could be applicable to just about everything in life!
