The first flowers!

I grew up seeing the Pasque flower herald the coming of Spring. It was always around April sometime, and often they’d be poking up through the last of the patches of snow.

But here in England, I have no idea what these are!  But they’re popping up! We had 3 days of lovely sunshine, which I think might have helped.  Any idea what these lovelies are?  I’m thinking crocuses or daffodils….

  1. Crocuses, for sure. I’m not sure if it’s these or the purple/blue kind that have the very fragrant pistils and yield Saffron – the most expensive herb one can buy.
