Drugs Drugs Drugs

One thing that’s been interesting about being sick so far has been the search for good drugs. I am, of course, referring to the legal varieties available over the counter. We’ve been unable to find anything similar to NyQuil, but we have found some good Sudafed. Interestingly, all those kinds of drugs contain warnings about paracetamol. “Paracetamol toxicity is the foremost cause ofacute liver failure in the Western World.” This has caused us a bit of concern, especially since we’ve been downing the things like candy.

But THEN we discovered that paracetamol is the same thing as acetaminophen. Why the different names?  Dunno. But it’s important to know!

Now if we could only get that darn NyQil….

Astrid! You guys need Day Nurse and Night Nurse for your colds and symptoms. They don’t (can’t)sell it here in the States. Day Nurse allows you to function. Night Nurse puts you out and you will have Berlioz Symphonie fantastique dreams. Bizarre trips! Byron and Shelley had nothing on Night Nurse! I got it over the counter at Boots.

Ah, glad you like “the trip.” Actually, I’m fine. I think that the type of virus you got over there (and so did I) requires that type of medication. Here in the U.S., I’m good with the Sudafed routine. I’ll let you know if I ever change my mind, though. Thanks for the offer.
