We’ve put the money on the table for the flat, so now we know that no one else will get it!  We’ve also handed over all our information, so the paper processing has begun. Apparently there’s  a bit of a hang up in the referencing, since no UK landlord will accept a US landlord as a housing reference. So we have to pay for 3 months rent up front. Which sounds bad, but really isn’t. The money is going out either way, really, now it’s just going out in the beginning instead of spread out. Luckily we kind of anticipated this particular problem, so it’s not a huge issue.

The process usually takes 2-3 days, so we’re looking at a move in date of Tuesday or Wednesday. We have to be out of this flat on Sunday night, so we’re now finding a pet-friendly hotel for 2 nights.  It never ends!

I tell you, once we finally get in and settled, we’re going to be terribly bored without all this excitement!  I say, bring it on!
