New (kitty) digs

The cats have been causing a few problems lately, mostly because with the lighter mornings they’ve decided that 4:30 is the PERFECT time for running around the house like mad kitties. And they’ve been using part of the carpet by the stairs as a scratching post, which is not a good thing. So I did what any sensible person does, and threw money at the problem, and now I’m hoping it goes away.

We bought the kitties a new plaything. I’ve variously heard it called a “cat-tree” or a “kitty-condo”, but personally I think nothing short of “feline palace” will do.

There’s only one slight problem.

Do you know the feeling when you’ve gone shopping for new clothes, and you find a great pair of jeans, and you decide to be “optimistic” and buy them one size smaller than you really need, because obviously that will be the motivation you need to lose about 10 pounds … But then you get home and try to put them on and it’s like stuffing a sausage casing … ??  Well, even if won’t admit to knowing that feeling, Amaretto does.

Well, I’m afraid my “feline palace” is not “jumbo-kitty” sized.     Her arse is definitely falling out!!
